I have always had a penchant for sad and reflective music. And when I started writing songs again, I naturally started writing songs about the sad things that have happened in my life.
Almost all of the songs on this playlist are about loss, regret, and betrayal.
The biggest themes of the songs are the loss of my mother-in-law in 2020, the strange feelings you get as a parent watching your children growing up as you grow older, and the loss of friends over the years.
Writing such personal music has been very healing for me, and I hope that listening to this playlist helps someone else deal with their feelings, too.
