I have been writing #hopecore music for over 20 years, but for most of that time, it didn’t have a name.

I am so grateful for TikTok and the rise of #[fill in the blank]CORE hashtags. They have given so many genres a name that before I would struggle to define past “hopeful music”.

All these tracks give me that feeling I get when looking out of the window on a long car journey and feeling quite content with life in that moment.
