I guess the easiest way to describe this playlist is bittersweet-nostalgia - that place where happiness and sadness mingle.
When I first started writing music as a composer I would show my wife Debs and she would say, “oh it’s so sad” to which I would reply “dammit it’s supposed to be hopeful”
I should have known then that #nostalgiacore would be a place I would fit in.
I have always loved the idea of happiness and sadness coexisting, and as a parent, one of the most prominent feelings (apart from love, of course) is the mixture of happiness and enjoying my children’s company, and also sadness that they are growing up.
